I had a lovely big box of t-shirts delivered this morning and they are now on the site at www.lactivist.co.uk.
All of them are on delicious plump organic cotton, they are long sleeved with envelope necks.
The old favorites are here – the Cow design, Care Instructions, (both also in matching hats) I Love Mummy Milk and Mummy Milk Rocks (in blue fading to purple this year).
New this winter are ‘Formula is for Suckers’ t-shirts. This was one of the first ever Lactivist designs back in the day when the health visitor really wanted me to top up at night time. She stopped when I put my son in this one!
This slogan has different meanings, you could use it to state the fact that breastfed babies suckle instead of sucking from a bottle.
You could use it to show you don’t like the big formula companies marketing their baby milk in a way that leads to the death of a baby every 4 minutes.
I’m expecting a bit of flak for this one because out of all the Lactivist t-shirts it is the one that people rise at.
But, when I was getting my low percentile who never slept more than an hour baby weighed and listening to the health visitors either side of me advise mothers to formula feed I was getting advice I needed from them. The t-shirt said it all. As my son (now rather larger and better at sleeping) would say ‘harsh but fair’.
