Breastfeeding in public already receives more protection in Scotland than in the rest of the UK.
Now Scotland is recommending that mothers breastfeed for two years – in line with the recommendations from the WHO – which will not only ensure mothers and babies achieve normal good health – but will also normalise so-called “extended” breastfeeding (i.e. normal term breastfeeding) which sadly still gets a bad press in most places.
