Food of Love, The: Your Formula for Successful Breastfeeding

Brilliant book from a wonderful woman.

It’s funny, well written, encouraging and appealing!

Easy to read very funny a great book to get if considering breast feeding but still unsure. I love it xx

Cheered me up! Loved the funny pics! Her sense of humor was much needed for me :o )
Love this book made me laugh even through the toughest breastfeeding moments, the cartoons are so funny
Big difference is the humour – that can be so crucial in getting anyone with reservations about reading a breastfeeding book to actually keep turning the pages- this one stands out in a crowd !

I liked it.

The Politics of Breastfeeding: When Breasts are Bad for Business

This book helped me understand just why it so important that us mamas stick up for ourselves, our babies and our right to do what’s natural. If thats not a good enough reason to read it then I don’t know what is ;)

A brilliant book that explains- in a very readable way- the cultural situation that creates and maintains breastfeeding problems. It is profound, relevant, intelligent and should make every reader step up and take responsibility for their role in creating change.

Eye opening. This book will make you angry and you will never look at formula in the same light again. Very well researched and accessible.

If you previously believed the decision to breastfeed is purely a personal one, this book will change your mind. Palmer provides a comprehensive history of breastfeeding, situating the practice within its wider political context, writing in an accessible and engaging way.

This book will inspire you to become a more passionate advocate for breastfeeding. Essential reading!his is a brilliant book, has helped me on my journey as a student midwife and now as a qualified midwife. It’s well written, very informative and I find has served to help my passion for breastfeeding on a personal and proffessional level grow.

Also the content is shocking and thrilling enough that its a good read for husbands/partners.

This book is truly an eye opener, I thought I had a handle on the world. The 1st part that deals with historical breastfeeding is so fascinating. The 2nd part dealing with corporations left me feeling so educated. Everyone should read this book, I insisted my husband did.

A really powerful book that truly makes you think. Also makes you see things like formula ads in a whole new light. Makes you more determined to be an advocate & angry about how formula companies have affected & do affect breastfeeding.

Ina May’s Guide to Breastfeeding

The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding

The bible. Every answer to every question all in one place.Invaluable book, read this when pregnant and throughout my wonderful years of breast-feeding. Packed with information, especially useful to help put your mind at rest or provide info so you can bat off any negative comments.

A must have reference book, has answers to everything in one easy to navigate package. As a bf peer I am always flicking through this one I wouldn’t be without it!

Should be stacked in big piles in every maternity ward and doc office. Essential reading before anyone gives “advice” about breastfeeding. esp health care workers.
Excellent book! not just about feeding but also about family life as a breastfeeding mother and parenting styles.

Saggy Boobs and Other Breastfeeding Myths

Perfect light hearted but factual myth busting read. Ideal for leaving in bathrooms for dads to browse.

A great book, created by two lovely ladies!

great introduction to make people question what they think they know. This is a wonderful book that really makes people want to take a peek inside and it opens up conversations about what we’ve come to believe as a society and should make readers want to find out more.

I loved my Ina May. Another helpful book I found was Mother Food by Hilary Jacobson. A very informative book about what to eat and what not to eat for maximum milk supply.
