My happy thought of the day – It’s the best thing ever if you wake up and realize that your baby has helped himself and is happily feeding away and as soon as he sees that you have woken up, he pulls off and smiles with his milky gummy smile

Even though I was up every hour during the night, even though my baby woke up ready to start the day at 5.30am, even though he’s teething badly and pooping every hour, even though I know I won’t get any house work done today, even though I look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards, even though I just left the house with yogurt smeared over me and I didn’t know…. There’s nothing better than being a mummy and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Just gone into the bathroom to find my 4 year old daughter, who I breast fed for 16 months, with her top lifted up looking in the magnifying side of the mirror to which she says “look mummy, big boobies” lmao, love her! I am 7 months pregnant with a little brother and have already talked to her about breast feeding him re-igniting her obsession with boobies lol

Today’s happy thought is pants-related and I’m sending it subliminally to my 27 month old in the hope that while I’m upstairs with the 9.5 month old, he’ll wee in the potty like yesterday rather than on the rug like this morning, oops.

Just me and my 2 year old. This is our first day alone with my daughter now at full time just. Just having a breastfeed before I put him down to bed… Might even have an hour myself snuggled up to my partner who is on nights… Afternoon naps mmmm

Happy thought of the day – took my little one swimming today & after bobbing along for a while with a big smile we got dressed – after being a bit grumpy at leaving the water I went to fed her outside the changing cubicle when a woman walked passed and said “that’s true comfort! That’s what most the women in there should be doing!” And pointed in the direction of screaming babies – it made me feel so proud that I was giving her what she wants/needs & makes me feel like I was doing something extra special rather than feeling like an outsider which I had felt previously! Makes me wonder if her calm, happy personality could be down to such a simple thing! X
