Breastfeeding man in advert banned

This is from www.shouldthisbecensored.com

“Paddy Power has launched an advertising campaign for its new bingo site www.paddypowerbingo.com. One of the ads – ‘breast feeding man’ has been censored by various advertisers including London underground, Adshel (bus and train shelters) and CIE (irish bus and rail company). What kind of a crazy world do we live in where poking fun at man boobs is seen as distasteful? Does that mean man boobs are tasteful??”

As often is the case the comments are very interesting:

“I think this is a great ad! I saw it this morning and thought, yippee! here is something that “normalizes” breastfeeding. If there are no women, how will the babies get fed? Lovely that he’s not using a bottle. Well done.”

“It’s a striking and funny campaign altogether. I’ll bet the people who find it offensive are the same ones who find women breastfeeding in a public place offensive anyway. Power to your elbow Paddy!!”

“Well I’m a breastfeeding woman and I thought it was funny! Plus a public image about breastfeeding into the bargain.”

And I learnt from this site that Man Boobs are Moobs!
