A big Lactivist gold star for Cafe Rouge! I had a long lunch in the Bristol Cabot Circus one today and was really happy that 2 mums could breastfeed, drink tea, chat and generally chill out without any hassle or fuss. Just fantastic to see in the middle of a big shopping mall. Speaking as one who has seen mates being hassled by security guards in Mothercare (really!), Cafe Rouge have really made my day. And the coffee is nice, and you can change £2.50 worth of Tesco Clubcard Points into a tenner to spend there, and the kids menu is good. Hooray for Cafe Rouge!

At last a Cafe with common sense, sounds like not only a wonderful place to breast feed but also to catch up, chill out and enjoy a nice cuppa.

I’ve breastfed in most of the places in Cabot Circus now and have had nothing but positive comments, which is really nice to see. I would say that Yo Sushi needs more space in their booths though! Oh and a big plus to the nice waitress in Nandos who brought me a glass of water without asking!

I’ve always found Costa to be very supportive of breastfeeding.
I’ve never been the most subtle of feeders (I’ve turned round in a coffee shop with my boob out before ) so was very self-conscious when I started. They would often bring my drinks to me and were fantastically supportive of my feeding tinytot. They also always have babychanging, another life saver!
They have no problem with me breastfeeding her as a toddler, or giving her lunch, and you don’t pay extra for soya/decaf/fairtrade, so all in all, as a ubiquitous chain I would heartily recommend them (although they should get some vegan food in!)

oooh sounds good, i have to say the last time i went to cabot circus i didnt have chance to stop for coffee so i fed on foot, bit of a juggling act but managed it none the less! lol!
